High Performance Cricket Program

2019 High Performance Cricket Program

Trials for the 2019 Program will be held on Thursday 1 November at 3:30pm.  All current Year 6 boys and girls who are interested in playing cricket at Butler College (in Year 7 2019) are invited to attend the trials.  All levels of skill are welcome.

Students (including those who have already registered and those who are yet to do so) are to meet at the College's cricket nets at 3:30pm to trial for the program, which will commence in Term 1 2019.  Application forms will be available for students who have not registered yet.  Parking is available in the College carpark on Homebush Drive and parents/students are to enter the College via the gate nearest to the cricket nets.

Cricket 2Since 2017 our High Performance Cricket Program has catered for students with a keen interest in cricket, wishing to maximise their potential and further develop skills and knowledge of the game. We offer an opportunity to extend their skills in a broad range of technical, tactical and physical aspects of cricket, following Cricket Australia’s guidelines for player and umpire development.

Our staff are high-level performers with Level 2 cricket coaching accreditations and local/international experience as players and coaches. Capitalising on this expertise, students are skilled and conditioned in current methodology, techniques and qualifications throughout the years at Butler College. The Program is open to all students in Years 7, 8 and 9 in 2019, at a cost of $150 per year.  All costs are compulsory, necessary to cover our commitment to external providers for the Program.

Applicants must be enrolled at Butler College (meeting all the requirements of the enrolment application process) and attend the College fulltime, with this program operating as a double elective unit in both Semesters of each year. Students will receive professional coaching and play regular matches in Terms 1 & 4, and will have the opportunity to participate in interstate and overseas tours as they progress through the years at Butler College.
