Butler College is an inclusive community where Knowledge, Integrity and Respect are the pillars on which all our Behaviour and Attendance expectations are based. Students and staff are cared for and supported to develop meaningful relationships within the College. Every effort is made to maintain a cooperative approach, where each person has the right to feel safe and achieve the very best that they can. Our holistic approach to education - concern for the academic, social and physical progress; and well-being, empowers our students to reach their potential and be active contributors in their local community and the wider world.
The Student Services team consists of the Student Services Manager, Heads of Year for each year group, Chaplains and Psychologists and is located adjacent to the Administration building.
Student absences during school terms
It is a requirement by the Department of Education that schools are informed if students need to be absent for extended periods of time during school terms. Parents and guardians are advised to download the Application for Student Absence Form if their child is going to be away from the College for three or more consecutive days during school terms (including family vacations). This form must be completed by the parent and submitted to the College for approval by the Principal prior to the requested absence.
