Humanities and Social Sciences

Humanities and Social Sciences believe in developing global citizens. We begin our studies with a local focus, moving to a national and then a global scale. The Western Australian Curriculum is followed, developing students’ knowledge and skills to prepare them to be a part of the community.

An e-learning focus is built into our programs, encouraging students to make use of computers as research, communication and material production tools to complement their investigations. While textbooks and written resources are the primary source of information, students are also exposed to a range of visual resources, including interactive maps and videos to supplement their learning. Students will develop valuable research, organizational, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as they move towards becoming independent learners. Four strands of curriculum are delivered over the year covering Civics, Economics, Geography and History.
